We leave a light on.

A rescue with no shelter. Every animal lives with a volunteer family until they find their own.

No kennels, no building. Pepper sleeps by the door, Marmalade guards the plants, Clover owns a box.

Who's waiting tonight

Every note is written by the family fostering them, and only from what they've seen. Tell us about your home and we'll dim anyone it wouldn't suit, with the reason.

Nobody fits all of that yet. Try taking a box off; new animals arrive most weeks.

How they get home

They arrive from everywhere, often all at once. A few weeks in a family's living room turns a frightened stranger into someone we can describe honestly, and that's how they find the right door.

  1. Arrive

Strays a neighbour brings in, animals whose people can no longer keep them, and litters born in foster care.

  2. Stay with a family

Two to eight weeks on a real sofa. The family writes down who snores, who steals socks and who needs a slow hello.

  3. Go home

Apply in about ten minutes, meet them at their foster home, do a short video home check, then take them home. We call after two weeks.

He paced every night for weeks. Then I left the radio on low, and he slept.

Lend us a window

Host an animal for two to eight weeks between rescue and adoption. We pay for food, supplies and every vet visit. You give them a quiet room and somewhere to watch the birds.

Saturday dog walkers wanted. About two hours at adoption days, no experience needed. We'll pair you with a regular walker and a very patient dog.
